A Parisian excursion with Sizzler

Sizzler has treated it lucky patrons with a fun-filled and historic excursion in Paris, France. In collaboration with Muang Thai Life Assurance and Krungsri Visa, the event “Paris Paradise Trip by Sizzler” treated Sizzler’s guests with 7-day 4-night trip from August 5-11,2011.

France’s capital, Paris, is known and loved for its cherished diversity in arts, fashion, lifestyle and cuisine – all of which was thoroughly experienced to grasp the experience of a Parisian life.

Attractions visited during the trip include Walt Disney’s fantasy world Disney Land and the historic Chateau de Chantilly where aristocrats dwelled. The group ventured to visit Rouen, one of France’s ancient towns that suffered the English oppression in the 100 Year War. The town is also home to national hero Jeanne d'Arc (Joan of Arc) who commanded the army to rid of the English invasion, but sadly being accused of heresy the hero herself was burned alive at Place du Vieux-March? in 1431. The square is now located France’s well-known Gothic cathedral, Notre Dame, and Church of St. Joan of Arc to honor her bravery posthumously.

Old-fashioned 2,000 timbered houses can still be admired in Rouen. Other attraction includes Place de la Pucelle - the town’s first stone mansion where Bourgtheroulde Residence sits. The group went on to marvel Palais de Justice (Nomandy’s former court) and exhausted themselves shopping at Montmarte that is still oozing of old French charm and enticing visitors with the stunning white chapel Basilique du Sacre Coeur.

Sizzler filled the schedule with old opera house at Place de la Concorde where Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette were executed by guillotine, a leisurely stroll along Avenue des Champs-Elysees, past Napoleon’s victory monument L'Arc de Triomphe de l'Etoile, the symbolic Eiffel Tower and Le Vau and Hardouin-Mansart’s grand creation of Louis XIV’s Versailles. The participants rested their tired legs with a scenic chariot ride to appreciate France’s architecture along the streets, and ended the trip with a shopping spree at Galeries Lafayette and Printemps.
